The paper mill is one of the oldest paper mills in Germany that is still in operation today. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Ore Mountains/Krušnohorí mining region, it is an insider tip in the region as an authentic site of paper and cardboard production.

Historische Ausstellung
1997 wurde der Grundstock für die Sammlung gelegt. Die Idee für ein „Ziegelei- & Dorfmuseum“ entstand. Bürger gaben historische Gegenstände ab, die Ausstellung wuchs. Heute betreibt ein Förderverein das Museum mit Ringofen, landwirtschaftlichen Geräten u.v.m.
The new permanent exhibition CoalWorld
This is a journey through the 1000-year history of the Saxon coal mining industry. You will learn how and where the coal was produced and how the "black diamonds" were used. You get to know new personalities and the demonstration mine.
Special exhibition: Bruno Gebhardt - a collector's life
To mark the 50th anniversary of Bruno Gebhardt's death, the retrospective shows impressive finds from 60 collection areas. It provides an insight into the multifaceted work of an extraordinary farmer's son, collector, researcher and chronicler (1894-1975).

Vacation program: Around the Hunt
In the museum you can discover what hunts were used for in the mine. Afterwards you will make your own Hunt out of salt dough to take home. Please bring a small cardboard box (approx. 13 x 7 cm). As we will be working with natural materials, "robber clothes" are recommended

Special guided tour for Women's Day
The history of women in mining also began with the beginnings of coal mining in Saxony. Their role was often hidden. To mark Women's Day, the exhibition in the demonstration mine shows their tasks, challenges and formative stories.
