Augustusburg Summer of Music: Soirée with 1,000 candles
Baroque music meets evening songs by candlelight: works for baroque oboe, organ and harpsichord will be performed in the Augustusburg Castle Church at 9 pm and 11 pm. The combined ticket includes an atmospheric guided tour of the castle by moonlight at 10 pm.

Augustusburg Music Summer: Beatles go Baroque
On August 9, the musica juventa chamber orchestra will perform two Beatles Concerti grossi by Peter Breiner in the style of Vivaldi and Bach. This will be accompanied by Bach's "In dir ist Freude" BWV 615 with Mirjam Kaufmann (flute) and Markus Kaufmann (harpsichord/organ).

Con spirito - Chamber music at Christmas: Bach, Zelenka, Mozart
Jan Dismas Zelenka, born in Bohemia in 1679 and active in Dresden from 1710 to 1745, was a contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach. The Prague ensemble Musica Affecta owes them both gems of chamber music, as well as works by Mozart.
New Year's Concert 2026: Always in time
The Central Saxon Philharmonic Orchestra with its General Music Director José Luis Gutiérrez always keeps to the beat. Of course, the New Year's Concert will feature the classics by Johann Strauss, but also works by Bedřich Smetana and Darius Milhaud.
