Vacation workshop: Our paths through Chemnitz
Rediscover Chemnitz! During the vacations, special places are explored and creative ideas are realized with art, photos and stories. Together, new perspectives on the city and contributions on what is important to children and what the future can look like are created.

Children's Tour: From the Steam Engine to the Factory of the Future
What will our world look like in 2050? Children become futurists, explore machines and historical occupations, and develop ideas for their own city of the future. It’s all about the technology, work, and energy of tomorrow.
Jump Camp
A 3-day vacation camp from Wednesday to Friday including a professional trainer lesson to learn trampoline tricks awaits the kids (use of the hall before opening!). Breakfast, drinks, daily hot lunch & healthy snacks are provided.
Open wildlife school - discover the animal world through play
During the vacations, the open wildlife school invites families to playfully discover the local wildlife. With quizzes, puzzles and creative upcycling ideas, individual feeding stations are created from teacups - learning, handicrafts and environmental protection all in one.

Vacation Program: What unites us is our longing for light.
Light has shaped the culture of the Ore Mountains for centuries. Swen Kaatz’s storytelling theater explains the origins of this tradition of light. Afterward, visitors can view James Turrell’s light installation for 10 minutes.
Vacation Tour
The holidays offer the perfect opportunity to explore the Chemnitz stadium: During a guided tour lasting about 75 minutes, you’ll get exciting glimpses into the locker rooms, the benches, the press area, and the VIP sections—an unforgettable experience!
Open zoo school - discover the animal world through play
In the open animal park school, children can playfully discover the animal world during the vacations while learning exciting things about habitats, food and species protection with memory games, quizzes and puzzles, thus expanding their knowledge in an entertaining way.
Vacation Program: Berggeist Guided Tour
Halloween is coming soon! When the ghosts awaken, the Mountain Spirit also begins to wreak havoc in KohleWelt. On a spooky guided tour through the exhibition mine—complete with helmets and flashlights—exciting legends await you—and perhaps an encounter with him.
