Discover technology through play: The exhibition invites you to build, tinker and try things out. Using simple materials, you can create your own movable models - a creative approach to machines, inventiveness and technical understanding for young and old.
Traces of success
The exhibition at the Chemnitz Industrial Museum sheds light on the work of Jewish entrepreneurs and their formative influence on the city's industrial history. At the same time, persecution and expropriation under National Socialism are addressed. 🏭📜

1997 wurde der Grundstock für die Sammlung gelegt. Die Idee für ein „Ziegelei- & Dorfmuseum“ entstand. Bürger gaben historische Gegenstände ab, die Ausstellung wuchs. Heute betreibt ein Förderverein das Museum mit Ringofen, landwirtschaftlichen Geräten u.v.m.
The history of the Tafelstube
The extended permanent exhibition is dedicated to the life of Hans Carl von Carlowitz and the origins of the concept of sustainability. It is complemented by insights into the historic dining room and the everyday and cultural history of the 17th and 18th centuries.
