The Esche Lab offers a basic course in machine knitting. Historical Veritas knitting machines are used to show how individual and sustainable fashion is created. Textile designer Virginia Reil introduces the technique and brings the art of knitting back to life.

Learn the first steps in working with a sewing machine: how a sewing machine is constructed, how the upper and lower threads are attached and what types of stitches are possible. The sewing machine is tried out while making seams and a small bag.
