Family Tour of Kriebstein Castle
A child-friendly tour of Kriebstein Castle offers insights into life at a medieval castle. Participants will learn about historical stories, explore the castle chapel, and take a peek into the mysterious cellars.
On Writing – Tracing the Middle Ages with a Quill and an Inkwell
The vacation program explores the art of medieval calligraphy, during which participants experiment with quills and ink and try to master the ornate lettering of a knight’s code of conduct while discovering the fascination of times gone by.

Sweet as Can Be – The Fruit Gummy Workshop
In the "Sugar-Sweet Fruit Gummy Workshop," participants will explore the history of sugar during the Baroque period, followed by an exciting journey of discovery through the colorful gummy bears and the chance to make and enjoy their own delicious fruit gummies.
"That's how they grace the dance..." – A journey into the world of damsels, squires, princes, and princesses
What was life like for a damsel, what did a squire wear, and how did a princess dance? The vacation program invites you on an exciting journey back in time to the Middle Ages. Discover historical clothing, dance, and playfully experience life at court.
The old knights - a vacation tour of Kriebstein Castle
Today, all visitors can learn more about the life of the knights, how they fought and lived. In the middle of the historical rooms, they can try out for themselves what it felt like to wear a knight's helmet and heavy chain mail.

Lichtenwald Soap Manufactory
In this workshop, children learn about the many possibilities of soap making & make their own soap. In the past, fat and ash were used, later precious oil was added. The kids learn what role washing with soap played in the past.
