Supporting instead of demanding - the attitude of the miners in the Peasants' War
The idea that peasants, burghers and miners rebelled together against the authorities in the Peasants' War of 1524/25 persists to this day. But was that really the case? The speaker is Mirko Gutjahr, director of the Luther museums in Eisleben and Mansfeld.
Lecture: The Peasants' War of 1525 in Saxony. Causes - course - consequences
The revolt of the "common man" only had a minor impact on Saxony in 1525. In territories such as Bavaria and Brandenburg, there was even no revolt. Speaker: Prof. Dr. Uwe Schirmer, Professor of Thuringian Regional History, Friedrich Schiller University Jena.

Dr. Thomas T. Müller, Chairman & Director of the Luther Memorials Foundation, provides insights into Müntzer's eventful life, from conflicts with the Mansfeld authorities to his role in the Peasants' War. He also sheds light on the mythologization of Müntzer by the GDR.
Lecture: "Printed in the princely town of Zwickaw" - 500 years of book printing
Dr. Lutz Mahnke, head of the Zwickau Council School Library, paints a vivid picture of the early years of the Zwickau print shop and highlights the central role it played in the years of upheaval in the early 1520s.
