Con spirito - Chamber music at Christmas: Bach, Zelenka, Mozart
Jan Dismas Zelenka, born in Bohemia in 1679 and active in Dresden from 1710 to 1745, was a contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach. The Prague ensemble Musica Affecta owes them both gems of chamber music, as well as works by Mozart.
Contemplative organ music
On New Year's Eve, Cantor Ekkehard Hübler plays festive and contemplative organ music in St. George's Church until the bells ring at midnight.
