Ton Koopman on the third largest baroque organ in Saxony
The Dutch conductor, organist, harpsichordist and university lecturer Koopman, a world star of baroque music, pays a visit to the Oertel organ from 1755 and performs works by Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Mozart.
ABENDMUSIKEN 2025: European cathedral organists

Joseph Fiala's viola da gamba, built by Joann Paul Schorn in Salzburg in 1709, is now in the possession of viol virtuoso Thomas Fritzsch. When he found the instrument, he immediately went in search of viola da gamba music by his friends Mozart and Fiala, and not in vain.
