Benedictine evening tour
The founding of the monastery in 1136 not only marks the beginning of the history of today's Schloßchemnitz district, but also that of Chemnitz. The monk invites you on an evening walk to the former monastery/castle grounds, Miramar & castle district.

Town hall and tower tour
A newer section was added to the historic Old Town Hall in 1911. The treasures in the double town hall, such as the paintings by Max Klinger and Neo Rauch, are on display, as is the High Tower, which offers a special view over the city.

From the city center to Kaßberg
From the city center, the tour goes to Kaßberg, one of the largest Wilhelminian and Art Nouveau districts in Europe. Stops include Jugendherberge eins, the Pfortensteg, the courthouse, the Imperial Head Post Office, the Marianne Brandt House and the Majolica Houses.
