Daniel Buren: 7 colors for a chimney
In 2013, Daniel Buren transformed the 302-metre-high furnace of the northern CHP plant in Chemnitz with colored rings and his iconic 8.7 cm wide stripes into a widely visible work of art that marks Chemnitz as a city of art.
The sculpture "Good Luck" by Kris Martin combines a cube on a sphere made of Rochlitz porphyry tuff. It alludes to Goethe's "Stone of Good Luck", but reverses the order and transforms the classicist ideal into a precarious wish.

Softly colored columns made of natural Saxon stone nestle together and form the support for a whole bundle of figures cast from silver-colored aluminum. A clash of contradictions that invites speculation.
