The tour provides an overview of the city's eventful history and leads from the city center to Theaterplatz, Villa Esche, Kaßberg and Schloßberg to historic industrial monuments in new uses.

Town hall and tower tour
A newer section was added to the historic Old Town Hall in 1911. The treasures in the double town hall, such as the paintings by Max Klinger and Neo Rauch, are on display, as is the High Tower, which offers a special view over the city.
