"Spring Awakening in the Castle - We Haunt the Outside" invites you to an imaginative family day at Rochsburg Castle. With hands-on activities, a film program and a special guided tour to the filming locations of the series "Spooky Outdoors" with Michael Kreskowsky.
Season opening at the park railroad
The route for the year 2025 will be officially opened today. Afterwards, the ride will run non-stop as long as guests are on site. All rides are free of charge.
Family festival / open library day
An open day invites you to rediscover the library. Guided tours give an insight behind the scenes, show work, history and modern media. Crafts, games and hands-on activities allow all generations to experience the diversity of the library

On Easter Sunday, Rochsburg Castle is transformed into a colorful adventure world for families. Creative activities, archery and exciting knight tours with little Easter surprises ensure a spring-like atmosphere in a historic setting.

At the May Festival, there will be trolley and engine driver's cab rides and the official opening of the 2026 garden railway season. The Schienentrabant will also be on the move from 1 pm.

Signal green for the big children's festival at the Chemnitz park railroad! The Verkehrsverbund Mittelsachsen invites you to a colorful children's and information program with hands-on stands, puzzles, children's entertainment, stage program and great prizes.
Ascension at the Parkschänke
A varied program awaits guests at the Parkschänke. Hearty grilled food, freshly prepared dishes and drinks invite you to enjoy and linger in the snack pavilion as well as in the rainproof beer garden and pub.
