Guided nature experience excursion for families

Augustusburg Castle is launching a new, interactive offer: A vein of ore has been discovered in the Ore Mountains. Elector August and Georgius Agricola invite you to test rock samples, melt and cast silver. An experience with fire, glitter and excitement
International Museum Day
The special tour of Augustusburg Castle opens up otherwise hidden rooms. Discover the Lindenhaus, Kaisersaal and the "Trompeterstuhl" with a view. Insights into the everyday life of the servants and the water supply in the 16th century round off the tour.
International Museum Day
On International Museum Day, a special guided tour of the 300-year-old baroque castle of Lichtenwalde invites visitors. It shows the transformation from castle to palace, tells of the architecture and life of earlier times - followed by a drink in the tea house.
Through courtyards and cellars - chats with the valets
Accompanied by the valets Agnes and Luise, this is an entertaining tour into the 16th century & a journey through the castle's history. There will be anecdotes from life at court & you will enter secret corridors. Water is tasted at the fountain house.
Rhododendron room
The Rhododendron Room offers an exclusive special tour during the flowering season, focusing on water features, enchanted hedge walkways and interesting insights into the care and diversity of the rhododendrons in the park. Includes a seed bag as a souvenir.
City tour meets Purple Path
A guided tour of Zschopau combines history, traditions and sights with an insight into the Purple Path. Afterwards, a visit to the castle bistro with coffee and cake invites you to round off the day.
