Historische Ausstellung
1997 wurde der Grundstock für die Sammlung gelegt. Die Idee für ein „Ziegelei- & Dorfmuseum“ entstand. Bürger gaben historische Gegenstände ab, die Ausstellung wuchs. Heute betreibt ein Förderverein das Museum mit Ringofen, landwirtschaftlichen Geräten u.v.m.
Rad und Wanderwege um die Alte Ziegelei
Das Freizeitgelände „Alte Ziegelei“ liegt im erzgebirgischen Becken. Das ist relativ flach. Von hier aus sind die Wege für ungeübte Wanderer & Radfahrer bestens geeignet. So kann man sich kilometerweit per Rad oder zu Fuß ohne nennenswerte Steigung bewegen.
Spielplatz Alte Ziegelei
Direkt neben dem Imbiss befindet sich ein schöner Kinderspielplatz mit Rutsche, Sandkasten, Schaukel und Klettergerüst. Auf dem Platz stehen auch mehrere Bänke, so dass sich die Eltern ein bisschen ausruhen können, während die Kleinen spielen.
Minigolf
Es mag durchaus modernere Anlagen geben, aber kaum eine, die so schön in die Natur eingebettet ist. Sitzgelegenheiten & schattenspendende Bäume sorgen für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Zubehör ist zu den Öffnungszeiten am Imbiss erhältlich.
Saxon Coal Road
The "Saxon Coal Road" connects the history of the coal mining industry over around 240 km by bringing industrial architecture, mining routes and traditional sites, such as in the Lugau-Oelsnitz mining district, to life and thus preserving the region's heritage.

Coal road
The marked 18 km circular hike starts at the KohleWelt and leads through the villages of Hohndorf, Gersdorf and Lugau, past impressive evidence of the region's coal mining industry, and ends back at the museum in Oelsnitz.

The new permanent exhibition CoalWorld
This is a journey through the 1000-year history of the Saxon coal mining industry. You will learn how and where the coal was produced and how the "black diamonds" were used. You get to know new personalities and the demonstration mine.
Skittles tradition with state-of-the-art technology
The completely renovated "9Pins" bowling arena has embraced the bowling tradition. The bowling is played on a spacious four-lane bowling alley. Scoreboards above the pins and on monitors offer players and spectators state-of-the-art technology.

Sound and path
"Sound & Path - a musical pilgrimage in the Ore Mountains" combines art, culture, nature and community. In Stollberg, there is a guided hike, a church tour and an organ concert in the Hoheneck theater hall with a restored organ.
