Children in velvet and silk - 400 years of children's fashion from the August Ohm Collection
The exhibition shows 400 years of children's fashion: clothing from the August Ohm collection meets paintings by the von Schönburg family. Idealized portraits of children and historical pieces reflect the changing nature of childhood and the wishes of future generations.
Rochsburg Castle
Rochsburg Castle, majestically situated on a rocky spur in the nature reserve, offers a fascinating costume exhibition, a varied program of events and the delicious chocolate creations of the "Choco Del Sol" manufactory.
Cabinet exhibition: Saxon castles and palaces in Z-gauge
Horst Oschmann's delicate paper models of Saxon castles and palaces on a scale of 1:220 tell of great passion on a small scale. The exhibition is complemented by atmospheric oil paintings of regional buildings by Uwe Gerschler.
Bats in the belly (for singles)
The event for singles begins with a romantic tour and getting to know each other. Afterwards, guests can get to know each other even better over a campfire with wine and desserts from Choco Del Sol.
Impressive and interactive history
The castle was built in the 10th century as a fortress to secure the victory over the Western Slavs. The restored manor house with its stately rooms and magnificent dining hall is impressive. An interactive exhibition shows the history.
Of knights, princesses and castle ghosts - a family-friendly guided tour
During a 90-minute exploration tour through 1000 years of castle history, visitors listen to funny, interesting and exciting facts about the castle and its inhabitants. For example, about the princes who painted graffiti that can still be admired today.
