Villa Esche is both a cultural asset and a gourmet manufactory. In front is the building built by the Belgian architect and designer Henry van de Velde in 1902/03 for the manufacturer Esche, now a museum, and next to it in the coach house there are culinary delights and good wines.

The Red Tower as a bedside lamp
As part of the special exhibition "fit. A Saxon success story", the successful special exhibition "The Heart of Chemnitz" is commemorated & bedside lamps in the shape of the Red Tower are created from empty washing-up liquid bottles.
During the guided tour through the permanent exhibition of the Industrial Museum, children aged 8 - 12 can experience machines in operation and try out various stations for themselves. Robby the robot is also there.
