On the trail of knights, manufacturers and scholars
The listed Mylau Castle is the only almost completely preserved and largest castle complex in the Saxon Vogtland region, making it an outstanding architectural monument and the museum's most important exhibit.

Museum presentation of the Mylau Castle collection
Behind the scenes, the museum houses an almost endless collection of historical objects. Some of them are presented to all visitors in the permanent exhibition.
Queen Classic Night
With new arrangements, the Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra pays tribute to the legend Freddie Mercury and interprets the titles with specially created arrangements together with Markus Engelstädter, the band "The Magic of Queen" and soprano Elena Fink.
26th Medieval Castle Festival Mylau
Craftsmen, traders, knights, musicians, jugglers and fire artists set up their tents to take visitors back to times gone by. There is plenty for children to experience: Candle making, carving, archery & crossbow shooting or a ride on the historic carousel.

The two-day workshop invites you to a special experience of self-reflection: Through meditation and collages of portraits and visual material, an intuitive self-portrait is created. The aim is to release old ideas and give space to hidden voices.
