Special exhibition: From BOTTICELLI to YVES SAINT LAURENT - Treasures from the AUGUST OHM Foundation
The special exhibition shows around 50 highlights from the August Ohm Foundation. Works by Lucas Cranach the Elder, Sandro Botticelli and Andy Warhol enter into a dialog ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day.
Exhibition: Castles and fortresses
The exhibition "Palaces and Castles" shows photographs by Yu Lap Tang. With a keen sense of light, structure and atmosphere, the artist from Hong Kong opens up new perspectives on European architecture between past and present.
Rochsburg Castle
Rochsburg Castle, majestically situated on a rocky spur in the nature reserve, offers a fascinating costume exhibition, a varied program of events and the delicious chocolate creations of the "Choco Del Sol" manufactory.
Bridgerton music by candlelight
An evening full of romance: a string quartet performs well-known melodies from the series in an atmospheric candlelit setting. The experience is complemented by insights into selected rooms of the castle.
Of knights, princesses and castle ghosts - a family-friendly guided tour
During a 90-minute exploration tour through 1000 years of castle history, visitors listen to funny, interesting and exciting facts about the castle and its inhabitants. For example, about the princes who painted graffiti that can still be admired today.

The stately chambers at Rochlitz Castle offer insights into the origins of idioms, the black kitchen humorously demonstrates medieval table manners, and in the prison towers it becomes clear how exaggerated it is to feel "like you've been wheeled".
Behind the scenes
On this tour, visitors can experience those mysterious areas of Rochsburg Castle that are not included in the public museum tour, e.g. rooms of the former youth hostel, various attics and otherwise closed, as yet unrestored areas.
