Oederan is delighted to be able to tell the story of the sculptor Igor Mitoraj (1944 - 2014) in Oederan thanks to the loan from the Wemhöner Collection. Mitoraj had a special relationship with Oederan. Publications about the artist are available.

Spinning Class
Gabi Neubert’s spinning class teaches the basics of hand spinning. Step by step, you’ll create your own yarn from natural fibers. The workshop offers a hands-on introduction to this time-honored craft.
Fibers, threads, fantasy
The old art of hand spinning comes to life in the spinning course at the museum. Fine threads are created from sheep's wool - directly on the spinning wheel and just like in the old days. An insight into a traditional craft with practical experience.
Gregor Gaida: Polygonal horse II
The Polish artist adds his cast aluminum sculpture to the village museum's horse cart. The horse depiction has 10 legs but no head - an ambivalent situation between strength and helplessness.
