At Easter, theater, fairy tales and music invite you to a special experience at Mildenstein Castle. In the storytelling theater "The Rabbit's Tail", a rabbit loses his tail and finds help from a sorceress and the clever audience, who actively participate.

The treasure of the one-eyed man
A unique adventure is waiting to be experienced! Equipped with a tablet & a team of two to eight friends or family members, a 90 to 120-minute scavenger hunt starts across the entire castle grounds. The treasure of the one-eyed man is to be found.

It stands imposingly on a steep rock directly above the Freiberg Mulde: Mildenstein Castle. Its history dates back to the 11th century. The castle still fascinates visitors with its impressive keep and Romanesque chapel.
Knight spectacle
The traditional knights' spectacle at Mildenstein Castle is once again calling visitors to its thousand-year-old walls this year. Musicians, jugglers, acrobats, jaw harpers and craftsmen meet grim knights and hard-working bakers and cooks.

Immerse yourself in everyday life at Leisnig (royal) castle. With the "Everyday Castle Life" group, you can look over the shoulders of maidservants doing heavy kitchen work, the lady of the castle doing artistic embroidery or craftsmen. Knights & squires practise with bow & arrow.

The Luna puppet theater is coming to Leisnig at Mildenstein Castle. From Saturday to Whit Monday, it will be performing traditional Saxon puppet theater for the whole family. In addition, Georanger Jens Oehme invites you to take part in stone carving with Rochlitz porphyry.

Knightly time with bow and arrow
In its long history, Mildenburg Castle served the Salians, Hohenstaufen and Wettin dynasties to protect their territories. The knight guides you through the thousand-year-old castle complex and practises using a bow and arrow with boys and girls aged 5 to 11.
Hands-on day at Mildenstein Castle
Visitors can try their hand at stonemasonry, bake bread like in the old days, get to know Lieslotte the castle horse, climb the keep, write with pen and ink, dress in medieval costume and compete against three knights in jousting.
