Western-Eastern inspirations in textiles
For the exhibition in the winter garden of the Schönherr.Fabrik Chemnitz, 20 textile works were selected for reasons of space - they impressively show the creative dialog between Afghan embroidery art and European design tradition.

Wo die Bahn pünktlich fährt
Seit 1954 verkehren im Küchwaldpark auf einem Rundkurs von 2,3 km Länge auf der 600-mm-Spur die Züge der Parkeisenbahn. Auf diesem Rundkurs betrachtet man die Spiel- und Sportanlagen einmal aus einer ganz anderen Perspektive.
Children's day trips
On Children's Day, small treats await the little passengers on the park railroad in the summery Chemnitz Küchwald. There is also a sandman ride at 5.45 pm.
Garden railway layout on 200 m²
The romantic Küchwald forest is not just for park trains. A little insider tip during the summer is the 200 m² garden railway layout in the courtyard of the nearby railroad depot.
Asparagus time at the Schlossmühle
Asparagus is grown all over the world. Connoisseurs love this healthy vegetable, which is in season from April to June. German asparagus is served at the Schlossmühle as a crisp salad, with beef tongue or salmon fillet - fresh and aromatic.
Culinary delights and history in a half-timbered house
On historic grounds in the immediate vicinity of the castle pond lies an elaborately renovated building of the former "castle mill". In the rustic dining room on three floors, culinary delights ranging from cream of mushroom soup to goose liver and carp are served.
Dallying in all weathers
Anyone can offer their treasures from the cellar and attic at the big antique and flea market on the 1st Sunday of the month. Between 7.00 and 7.30 a.m. you can place your second-hand goods on your own (upholstery) table. Snacks and toilets available.
Good bourgeois on the way to the top
In the lovingly restored half-timbered building directly on the way to the castle with a view of the castle pond and its green belt, the "Kellerhaus" entices with home-style cooking, which can also be light in the warm season.
