It stands imposingly on a steep rock directly above the Freiberg Mulde: Mildenstein Castle. Its history dates back to the 11th century. The castle still fascinates visitors with its impressive keep and Romanesque chapel.

Summer Program for Kids: Out and About with the Forest Ranger
Together with the head forester from Colditz Castle, participants will explore the wildlife in the nature reserve and learn interesting facts about hunting and the relationship between humans and nature. Advance registration is required, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
