From the fortifications to the hunting lodge to the museum hostel
Built on the foundations of a 12th century fortification, Wildeck Castle used to watch over the ford on the Zschopau. In the middle of the 16th century, it was converted into a hunting lodge. Today, the white Renaissance castle is home to several museums.

Joseph Fiala's viola da gamba, built by Joann Paul Schorn in Salzburg in 1709, is now in the possession of viol virtuoso Thomas Fritzsch. When he found the instrument, he immediately went in search of viola da gamba music by his friends Mozart and Fiala, and not in vain.

The cozy restaurant with 40 seats invites you to linger and offers Saxon home cooking, traditionally cooked on wood and coal stoves. Regional ingredients refine local and international delicacies, inspired by old trade routes.
Web workshop - 333 hours
In the weaving workshop, everyone - young and old - can try out traditional techniques and create their own textile works of art. With weaving frames, materials and instructions on site, there is space for individual projects and collaborative work.
