Horse-drawn galley on the Rudolph shaft
The rebuilt horse-drawn pithead at Rudolphschacht brings a piece of Marienberg mining history back to life. Visitors learn about the structure and operation of the original horse-driven winding system, which was in operation from 1838 to 1877.
Guided tour: A "Rosswerk" as a mining exhibition facility
In addition to demonstrations of the Göpelfunktion, also with horses at weekends, there is a historic mountain forge where the spindle press and forge fire with anvil are presented. You can also marvel at the fairytale mountain of the carving association.
